I was looking at the thread on the DigiPen LJ about how CS230 is now a co-requisite for GAM200 instead of a pre-requisite. And, hmm... something occurred to me.
Consider this... some of the freshmen are complaining that Lewis is having them make a second game for CS230, on top of the main GAM150 game, in spite of the problem that they didn't really have all that much experience due to screw ups with other instructors this year. (*cough*Hu*cough*)
Now. Consider this... some of the sophomores are complaining that Lewis is having us make a second game for CS260, on top of the main GAM250 game, in spite of the problem that we didn't really have all that much experience due to screws ups with other instructors this year. (*cough*Hu*cough*)
I feel kind of bad for Lewis. It's not his fault as such, and he's a great guy and all. In the case of the freshmen and CS230, most of the blame can be put on a) Arthur Hu, and b) Comair not giving them any programming assignments the first semester, for whatever strange reason, and in the case of the sophomores and CS260, pretty much all of the blame can be put on Arthur Hu. But, with that said, the above still kind of paints Lewis in a bad light as well, at least for me, now that I've noticed it. I'm just going to chalk it up to his relative inexperience, at least in the area of teaching at DigiPen what with him being new this semester and all, and the fact that it is likely that he simply doesn't yet ken to the notion of just how large the normal DigiPen workload is, even without having to do a whole second game.
As can be seen here, I'mhardly working working hard on the CS260 game. ...no, no strikethrough this time. I'll say it flat out. "Hardly working" is, at this point, a phrase that applies equally well when describing how much more effort I'm willing to put into this project and also when describing the state of the project itself. *nods sagely*
Only three more days, not counting exams........ Three more days.... *harggggglllll...*
