On NPR just a bit ago, they ran a story in which they drew comparisons between George Wallace and Donald Trump. And I have to say yeah. Yeah, that's rather apt, on many levels. The main difference is that Wallace ran as a third party candidate, while Trump is running as one of the big two, but beyond that, the comparisons are pretty good.
And here is another comparison that I hope we will be able to make between Trump and Wallace, come November: Wallace did not become President.
