Yeah, second one already. I remember seeing Joe's reactions to the trailers so I'm quite surprised he didn't like it. IE: Meaning I'm surprised that the movie wasn't nearly as good as the trailers make it out to be.
If I watch it, it'll probably be if I see the dvd cheap at walmart one day. Not like I was waiting for opening night for this thing anyway.
Yeah, that's something he mentioned in his review, that he went in thinking he'd like it, based on the trailers, but that the trailers made it seem like it would be way better than it turned out to be.
Not sure which is worse... when trailers make a movie seem like it'll be worse than it may well end up actually being (e.g. nuBusters, nuTrek), or when they make a movie seem like it'll be better than it ends up being, such as this. In one case, you end up missing out on something that you might otherwise have liked (but then, in that case, you can always see it later), but in the other case, you end up disappointed because you wasted money on something you ended up hating (but then, in that case, you could have waited and watched reviews of it beforehand, such as AngryJoe's review here). Either way, it's not great, and also, either way, it suggests that one should wait in all cases to go see a movie, rather than rushing out to see it as soon as it is released in theaters. (See also: buying video games at launch. Or anything, really, I suppose.)
