Also, this. ¬_¬ Even though the UI is in German, it seemed like the simplest, least scuzzy of the programs I looked into which claimed to convert .aax files to .mp3, because I have zero use for Amazon's proprietary bullshit. It took this 19 minutes and 3 seconds (on my computer anyway) to convert the 1.02GB .aax file to a similarly sized .mp3 file. And as far as I can tell from just spot-checking the file in WMPClassic (it plays in Winamp, but the bar to skip around isn't present, for whatever reason, in Winamp), the conversion seems to have gone fine. The file itself is 19 hours and 3 minutes long (interestingly enough, given the conversion time from .aax to .mp3 file using that program). I have no idea when I'll actually listen to it, but at least I have it, for what it's worth. *shrug*
