I started watching the first episode of season 2 of the Castlevania animated series just now, after rewatching season 1, and... holy shit, there was Hector and Isaac from Curse of Darkness. Totally wasn't expecting them to show up in this. Well, Hector looks about the same as he did in the game, at least in the show's art style, but Isaac is completely different.
(EDIT) And episode 2, there's Carmilla. And then Slogra and Gaibon. Huh. (And, just like in the games, the latter two didn't last very long... ¬_¬) Also, if I were Dracula, I would have already fried Carmilla to ashes at least twice over by the end of episode 2. But of course he doesn't. ¬_¬ (/EDIT)
(EDIT 2) Episode 3, and mentions of Leon Belmont. (/EDIT 2)
(EDIT 3) Episode 7, painting of Leon.
And... Bloody Tears. The first time they've used actual music from the game in the show, at least that I could tell. (/EDIT 3)
(EDIT 4) Season 2 complete. They definitely left stuff open for a next season, so it's a good thing that a Season 3 has already been confirmed. (/EDIT 4)
Also, I thought I'd made a post about watching season 1 a while back, but apparently I didn't. Or, at least, I didn't post it here, if I did. Anyway, it's pretty damn good. It's loosely based on Dracula's Curse, focusing on Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard (no Grant, unfortunately, though to be perfectly honest, I did not miss him at all), with bits of backstory taken from Symphony of the Night. It'll be interesting to see how those three interact with Hector and Isaac in season 2, since in the games, Curse of Darkness took place a few years after Dracula's Curse (though I know Trevor did show up in Curse of Darkness as well).
