Whatever it takes.

At this point, I'm in support of going with whatever will be the most effective and expedient way to get Trump out of the office of POTUS, so that he can then be charged with all the crimes he has committed while in office and prior to becoming POTUS. If that happens to be impeachment, then so be it, but I think impeachment at this point in time will actually be counterproductive. My heart might be saying "yes, impeach the motherfucker right now, go go go" but my brain is saying "no, just wait and vote him out in 2020, because trying to impeach him now might backfire and get him reelected, whereas he otherwise might have been defeated naturally, especially given that there's no way in hell that Mitch McConnell will allow the Senate to vote to actually convict Trump of anything at all, because Mitch McConnell is even worse than Trump, in his own way." I care less about the principle or "statement" behind trying to impeach an obvious, blatant, brazen criminal out of office than I do about having that obvious, blatant, brazen criminal actually facing justice in a truly meaningful and productive way.
If Trump somehow, heavens help us all, gets reelected anyway, even if he wasn't impeached before, then maybe try for the impeachment route, since there'd be little else to lose at that point. (Unless the Republicans, gods forfend, somehow retake the House in 2020, which would take impeachment off the table entirely.)
The other bad thing about impeaching Trump, versus just voting him out of office, is that Pence becomes POTUS in that case, which is arguably just as bad as having Trump as POTUS, if not even worse. But then, as I've said before (hell, I know I've said all of this before, and more than once), my real hope is that Pence will go down right alongside Trump if anything happens to expedite Trump's downfall.
In any case, no matter what else happens, just so long as Donald Trump ends his living days on this Earth rotting in a prison cell (along with all of his fellow criminals), that's all I mainly care about right now, as far as that goes. Beyond that, I'm hoping that as many Republicans as possible will be voted out of Congress (House and Senate both) in 2020.
