To follow up...

Spoilers from here on, so maybe don't read further if you care about that sort of thing (and definitely don't click any of the links).

I've almost unlocked everything, or at least, the things that show up in the Unlocks screen, anyway. There's some stuff I unlocked today that wasn't in the Unlocks screen and which I didn't even know was a thing until after I'd unlocked it, and I know there's some other stuff that also isn't in the Unlocks screen that I haven't unlocked yet. (Though I gave that one a good try just now while also trying to unlock some of the new stuff that was just added to the most recent update. I certainly killed a few of those Stalkers, Tricksters, and Drowners, but haven't seen the little Toastie guy pop up yet. (Pre-post EDIT) That's apparently because I killed them "normally" rather than using one of the instakill weapons/items. And that was, like, the one time lately that I didn't bother to take the Pentagram weapon to get Gorgeous Moon. Figures. *eye roll* Oh well. (/Pre-post EDIT) And... even if I unlocked him, I seriously doubt I'd be able to do much with him, seeing as how he has such low hp... >_>; I haven't even bothered to try Exdash yet, even though I've unlocked him [which is required to be able to unlock Toastie].) Haven't unlocked some others yet, either.

The main things I have yet to unlock are the Rerolls, via getting the weirdo characters up to level 100. I've gotten all the other required characters up to level 99 in order to unlock the rest of the Arcana stuff, though.

Here's some hints/tips if you're doing the "reach level 99/100" things. My typical setup is as follows:
  • Definitely Pentagram with Crown to get Gorgeous Moon (the 8% xp bonus per level of Crown is nice, and the extra xp you get with Gorgeous Moon tends to more than counterbalance anything you might have lost previously with the Pentagram). Pentagram destroying boss chest drops kind of sucks ass, though, so with that said, you might want to wait on getting the Pentagram until after you've gotten and leveled up...
  • ...the Clover, as Luck stat also affects how often the Pentagram does or does not destroy drops. Again, the less likely Pentagram is to destroy boss chests, the better, as you want to evolve it and the other weapons as soon as possible using the chests. And, since I take Clover anyway, I go ahead and also take Cross for Heaven Sword.
  • Attractorb, because honestly, you probably get way more xp from taking that and simply picking up more xp gems at a time than you get from the 8% bonus per level of Crown, but both of those is still better than just one or the other, obviously. And with Attractorb, I also take Santa Water for La Borra later. It's not the greatest thing in the world, but it becomes fairly useful later on.
  • Whip with Hollow Heart and Vento Sacro to try to get Bloody Tear and then Fuwalafuwaloo as soon as possible. Heals you fairly well while also exploding tons of enemies.
  • I also usually (but not always) take the Bible, with Spellbinder, to get the Unholy Vespers. It's generally pretty good about keeping enemies away from you.
  • Whatever passive item is required to evolve the starting weapon of the character you're using at the time (e.g. Armor with Pasqualina, Spinach with Arca, Stone Mask with Giovanna, etc., because I sure as fuck wouldn't take Runetracer or Fire Wand or those fucking cats if I had the choice, ordinarily. ¬_¬)
  • If I have passive slots left over, I tend to just take whatever or leave it empty, usually Empty Tome if I'm too impatient to fill up my passive slots first and get the free one(s) on Inlaid Library.
  • Oh, and speaking of which, every time I did this, I did it in the Inlaid Library. Not sure why, but I just kind of prefer that level over the others, unless I'm trying for something specific on one of the others.
  • And for the Arcana, I always start with Disco of Gold, because that's basically free healing, when you get a Coin Bag (or better) from the candles, and when you get gold from the chest drops from bosses (especially later on when you've already maxed all your items and are only getting gold from chests and only either gold or chicken from leveling up, so might as well pick gold in that case). Beyond that, on the second Arcana, I try to get Sarabande of Healing if it's in the list, as that just increases healing and also adds damage to enemies based on healing amount (which is really great when also combined with Bloody Tear and Fuwalafuwaloo). Failing that, I try for Slash, which improves all the Whip-based weapons, and bladed weapons like Heaven Sword. And the Axe or Knife when playing the characters that start with those. Failing that, I'll usually take whatever Arcana directly benefits the character's starting weapon (e.g. Iron Blue Will for Knife, Axe, the guns, or the cart weapon).
  • I think it might be necessary to buy at least some of the Curse "upgrades" in the "Power Up" store thing. I'd tried it at first after refunding my upgrades and taking everything but the Curse things, thinking that would make it easier, but then at the end I was only managing to hit maybe level 96-97 by the 30 minute mark in the Library, which was super frustrating, but after rebuying the max on Curse again, I was anywhere from level 100 to 140+ or so by the 30 minute mark. While Curse makes enemies stronger, which isn't all that great, it also makes there be more enemies, which gets you a lot more xp over time, assuming you're able to kill them quickly and easily. Seriously, I was playing one time and I somehow managed to get Gorgeous Moon to fire right around the 30 minute mark, so that even when Death showed up right afterward, I was still absorbing xp gems, and got like 8 or 9 instant levels, even while Death was about to be on my ass. (Still haven't managed to hit 200+ with anyone yet, though.)
Honestly, though, I haven't been playing it all that much lately. Yesterday and today was the first time I've played it in probably half a week or so. And even then, I'll only get through maybe two or three runs before I'm tapped out on it, and that's with Hyper and Hurry turned on, which, respectively, makes every thing faster (while increasing money gained by varying amounts depending on the stage) and makes the time go by twice as fast (while increasing xp gained by 25%).
