Wonderful. Just wonderful.
So basically, if someone plays a racing game, and then goes out and causes a car crash, this is totally the video game's doing, and not, say, the fault of the guy who's driving like a retard. Obviously, no teenager has ever driven a car recklessly before unless they had previously played a racing video game, so it was without a doubt the video game that was the cause, right? Makes sense to me. I guess this makes Gran Turismo a "vehicular homicide trainer" now, huh?
Also, that "Killer Games" list at the end there is especially tasteful and not at all completely irrelevant. *eyeroll*
No, seriously, if he'd been watching a real race on his little pop-up dashboard screen thing beforehand, instead of playing Gran Turismo, would they be blaming Formula One for the crash? Would they have put a "Killer Automotive Sports" list at the end, including NASCAR and such as the scapegoat-of-the-week? Or, rather (in an effort to be more in synch with the relevancy of the list that they did include), would it have been a "Killer Sports" list, including things likefootballrugby or soccerfootball? Because rugby and football have about as much to do with some guy crashing into a 79-year old woman as Manhunt and BullyCanis Canem Edit did. Sensational journalism for the lose.
