I would like to thank Discord for giving me definitive reasons to never use Discord. Granted, that's not really saying much, considering that I've never used Discord prior to now, either, but now I have actual reasons to never use it. I mean, beyond the whole, "replacing dedicated forums with Discord is horseshit" thing.
Between Twitter, Reddit, Twitch, and now Discord, it seems like they're all in a competition to see who can kill a social media platform the fastest.
