Full headline, because Dreamwidth/PC Gamer still has too short/long subject lines: "Seasoned RPG devs from Obsidian and Bioware blame the temporary death of the isometric CRPG on 'vibes-based forecasting' from retailers"
Capitalism is stupid, ill-informed, and actively harmful, in far too many ways, and clueless executives making dumbfuck decisions for no good reason are probably the very worst thing about capitalism.
And I'm just talking about dumb video game shit here. That statement about capitalism and executives is still true even with regard to very basic shit required for human life and the continued existence of humanity, as well, which is even worse.
(Also, as someone who worked as a retail drone for a blessedly short period back in 2004, I can say with certainty that retail is utter dogshit. Not that that is relevant to any of the above in any way, as I certainly wasn't in any kind of position to be making decisions about what was or was not sold.)
