A post on The Daily Cartoonist.

It's mostly about how the free press (including political cartoonists and late night TV comedians) is under attack, both figuratively and literally, from fascist dictators and wannabe dictators, such as perpetual piece of shit, Donald Jonald Trump.

And yeah, I'm seeing an awful lot of "AbC iS a PrIvAtE bUsInEsS sO tHeY cAn FiRe WhOeVeR tHeY wAnT" lately, after ABC's cowardly shitcanning of Jimmy Kimmel in the face of direct threats from the Trump """""administration."""""

But when some RWNJ like Roseanne Barr or Gina Carano or <insert Faux Noise talking empty head here> gets fired because they went a little too far with their disgusting RWNJ dumbfuckery and happened to piss off advertisers or whatever, those same people bleat about freeze peaches or whatever. It's so very odd.

(Not saying ABC can't fire whoever they want for whatever reason, I'm just saying their reason was incredibly shitty in this particular case of Jimmy Kimmel [because Mafia DONald Trump needed an excuse to get rid of one of his long-time enemies and ordered his goons to threaten Kimmel's bosses], unlike in the case of when they fired Roseanne Barr [for being a racist shithead] or when ABC's overlords at Disney dropped Gina Carano from The Mandalorian [for comparing rightful criticism of MAGAtry to the Holocaust]. And the only reason Faux Noise ever fires someone like Bill O'Reilly or Glenn Beck or Fucker Carlson is purely because of money matters, not because they actually disagreed with whatever dreck that was spewed.)

And hey, look, a bunch of examples of political cartoons mocking the Nixon administration's own war against the press, back in the day. Just goes to show that Donald Trump isn't the first super shitty Republican president who had a problem with the First Amendment. (When was the last time the US had a Republican president who wasn't super shitty? Eisenhower, maybe?)
