I agree. I think they'd do exactly what Europe is doing with Ukraine vs. Russia: send money and weapons, argue about what waste that is, send thoughts and prayers. It's just not enough to dislodge a large, powerful, committed enemy. You have to put boots on the ground, sometimes quite a lot of boots.

Out of all of Trump's inner circle of sycophants/yes men (and women)/handlers/manipulators/string pullers/whatever one wants to call them, I think Stephen Miller is probably the worst of the lot. He seems to be the most Grima Wormtongue-like of them all.

And that's saying something, because pretty much the only reason any of them are there is to try to wring as much out of the dementia-addled old turd as they possibly can before he either somehow finally manages to do something that is perceived by even the MAGAts as going too far and gets removed from office (highly unlikely to the point of nigh impossibility) or else just dies and leaves Vance in charge (far more likely at this point, which might be what most of them are waiting/hoping for). I seriously doubt there are any True Believers™©® in Trump's inner circle, at least not in the same sense as the legion of Trumpanzee idiots who were elected to the House by fellow Trumpanzee idiots (up until Trump started disillusioning even them, e.g. Marjorie Taylor Greene).
