Full headline, because Dreamwidth's subject field length is still too small (but only just so, in this case): "Disney deleted a Thread because people kept putting anti-fascist quotes from its movies in the replies"
"But don't worry, someone recorded it for posterity."
I will give Disney the absolute slimmest benefit of the doubt here and say that deleting the Thread was probably just a cowardly CYA move to not rile up Y'all Qaeda, rather than an angry "Hey, fuck you all, we here at Disney actually love fascists" move... but... given Disney's history, both recent and ancient... who can actually say for sure? ¬_¬
Here is a link to the Threads post in question, and here is a link directly to the saved scroll from the aforementioned Thread, both of which I'm able to view despite not even having a Threads account at all. (Apparently, that TheVerge article is paywalled, but I guess I happened to get to view the whole thing in my Google News app via one of those "this is your free article for this month" or whatever kind of thing. *shrug* [EDIT] I've since blacklisted TheVerge on my Google News app since I did get hit with a paywall when trying to view a subsequent article of theirs. [/EDIT])
