Feeling better

Well, I'm feeling better now than I did this morning so that's a good thing I guess. Hopefully, if I still feel in the morning at least as well as I do now, I'll be able to try to go to school. Then again, I felt about the same last night as I do now, so that's not saying much. We'll see, come morning. *sigh*

In any case, I have pretty much finished the CS260 threaded server assignment that's due tomorrow, minus a few of the piddling review questions left to do. Still have the MAT258 homework to do that's due Thursday, as well as studying for the big CS250 midterm that's also on Thursday. *sigh*

Going to the doctor

Damn it.

Alarm went off. I got up. Started making a half-assed effort to get ready for school, but after a minute or so... no.

Going back to bed and then to a doctor later, when I get up again.

Stop calling me

And some guy just called and left a message about wanting to let "all the homeowners in Redmond" know about some seminarthingwhateverIdon'tgiveashit. Of all the days this guy could have called, of all the days, any other day I would have not been here and it wouldn't have mattered. But no, he just had to call on one of the two days that I was actually here and, more importantly, trying to sleep. Gaugh.

*weighs the notions of trying to stay up and possibly heading on to the doctor versus going back to bed for a while longer*

Got an appointment

Well, I have a doctor's appointment now, but it's not until 7:00pm. Blah. Still I guess that's okay though, what with the alternative being not getting anything today at all.

How is the new CS260?

Hey, to you guys who are going to the new, and hopefully improved, Hu-less CS260 tonight, let me know how it goes.

This is why I don't normally go to doctors.

Just got back from the appointment with the doctor. What a huge waste of time and money. Basically, she gave me a worthless little note that said I was excused from class today and yesterday. I mean, yeah, I could bring it in and show all the teachers, but they're not going to give a shit, and rightfully so in my opinion. It's the first time I've missed any of those classes this semester, so whether I have a doctor's note or not isn't a huge deal either way, especially since nothing of real note was going on in the classes. No homework due or tests to take, etc. My main reason for going to the doctor was to get some sort of "insurance" in case I wake up half-dead again tomorrow and end up having to miss Ghali's CS250 exam. However, the way it stands now, if it does come back in the morning, I'll have to either drag myself to school anyway, or else pay for another doctor visit to get another note (which I'm certainly NOT going to do unless I am literally half-dead). Mind you, I don't expect to miss school again tomorrow, since I'm feeling (mostly) fine now, so I guess the doctor's visit was pretty ill-planned to begin with. Well, more that it was simply unfortunate that I had to wait so late to go, considering that when I called to make the appointment this morning, I actually did still feel pretty poorly. But anyway. At the very least, I will give them a little bit of credit for not trying to hawk some expensive prescription on me when I don't really need one.

And it sucks, too, that I missed what was apparently an amazing restart of the CS260 class this evening, now that Hu is no longer teaching it.

Persona 3

For those who have played the awesome PS1 Persona games, here is a torrent link to a trailer for Persona 3.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, this is really exciting because the Persona games are amazing (though, admittedly, I've only begun to scratch the surface of the parent series, Megami Tensei, or the various other spin-off games). On the other hand, this is really disheartening because there is probably almost zero chance of this game getting an official US release. I really hope I'm wrong about that, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too high here, at least not until more solid news is made known.
