Okay, Google...

It's cute and all that you've changed the default Google logo to a Pac-Man themed one and have, in fact, included an actual full custom game of Pac-Man (complete with sound effects) into the main Google page, but if I'm going to be hearing the Pac-Man theme just about every single time I load the page, I might just have to change my homepage to something else, at least for today.

Gabriel Knight on GOG.com

This weekend, on GOG.com, you can get the entire Gabriel Knight series for $12.57 (and even when the whole thing isn't on sale, it's still just $17.97 total for all three games). If I didn't already have all three games in the series, I'd be all over this. I think the Gabriel Knight series, for me, is at the very least tied with Quest for Glory as my favorite of the Sierra adventure games. (EDIT) For what it's worth, sometime in the years since making this post, I went ahead and bought all three Gabriel Knight games on GOG anyway (along with the Quest for Glory series, for that matter). By the way, if you enjoyed the Gabriel Knight games, I would also like to recommend the Ben Jordan: Paranormal Investigator freeware series as well, especially from the 4th game onward, which is when Simon and Alice first show up. The second game is probably the weakest in the series (though there's apparently a "deluxe" version of it that wasn't available back when I first played through the series... huh, I'll have to look into that). Anyway, it's very "Gabriel Knight"-ish, and I like it, and you can't beat the price.
