Yep, I'm going to stick with doing this for a while. This one will be like the first one, with the current game that I am playing, epic track, old-school track setup.
Current track
Game Name: The Longest Journey
Music Track: "Main Titles"
Composer: Bjørn Arve Lagim
While I was playing through the Divinity series and I did finish Divine Divinity, I didn't get very far into Beyond Divinity. It's way more bug-ridden and difficult to play than the first game was, and I just felt I needed a break from that for a while. So, I decided to play TLJ again. This will be my fourth or fifth time through, I think, though it's been a few years since the last time through. What can I say? It's only one of the greatest third-person, point-and-click adventure games in existence today, after all.
Epic track
Game Name: Fable
Track Name: Fable Theme
Composer: Danny Elfman
In anticipation of the upcoming release of Fable III next month, here is the theme from the original game. Though some people don't like the Fable series, I like it just fine. No, it doesn't live up to the ridiculous hype that preceded its release. No game could live up to that sort of hype. No, it doesn't deliver on all of the things that were promised by Peter Molyneux. However, despite all of that, it was still an awesome game, in my opinion.
Old-school track
Game Name: EarthBound
Track Name: "Pokey Means Business"/"Giygas Battle"
Composers: Keiichi Suzuki and Hirokazu Tanaka
I know that most people call this "Pokey Means Business", but I don't think that is the official name for the track. I don't know what the true, official name of this track is, honestly. But I do know that it is frickin' awesome, as is the game it comes from. It's not just nostalgia speaking, because I play through this game on a semi-regular basis, and it has not yet lost it's charm for me. If you haven't had the pleasure of playing the Mother series, I would highly recommend it.
And that's it for this entry. Until next time.
