I saw the following post on my FB feed:
"Alright folks!!! i cn ndrstnd wrtng like diz for txt, but if u rite like diz when u have a complt keyboard n front of u, equipped with pnctuatn mrks n a shft key, plz, go back to typing clss!!!! u can pt 50 xclamatn pnts n a sentence, but u cn't prs da shift key once?????????? srsly wtc? /rant"
I decided that I liked this, and thus I would "Like" it. However, I didn't feel that this would sufficiently express the degree to which I actually liked it. I started to just say something really trite, like "I'd 'Like' that a million times if I could." or some such. But even that wouldn't have truly conveyed the appropriate weight. So I left the following comment:
"Too bad you can't 'Like' something more than once on Facebook. I would call the Ackermann function with Graham's number and the result of that would be the number of times I would 'Like' this if I could.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ackermann_function
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham%27s_number
http://www.xkcd.com/207/"
And followed up with:
"Or maybe something involving the Clarkkkkson.
http://blag.xkcd.com/2007/01/11/the-clarkkkkson-vs-the-xkcd-number/"
(EDIT) Defining the Clarkkkkson, since the original site is 404'd now. (/EDIT)
and
"ck(A(g_64, g_64), A(g_64, g_64), A(g_64, g_64), A(g_64, g_64))
Yeah, that sounds about right."
And it has all gone downhill from there.
So I think, as of this post, the number of times I would "Like" that FB posting would be the following, which makes use of the Up function as well as the aforementioned Clarkkkkson function and the xkcd number:
Ucrazy = Up(ck(A(g64, g64), A(g64, g64),A(g64, g64),A(g64, g64))) (ck(A(g64, g64), A(g64, g64),A(g64, g64),A(g64, g64)))
Or, heck, why not:
Usuper-crazy = Up(Ucrazy)(Ucrazy)
And so on and so forth.
I still don't think even that number is big enough, and just saying "infinity" seems like an unworthy cop-out.
Teal Deer version: My point, quite simply, is that I kind of don't like it when people type like that. For any reason. I don't even make the exception for texting. ¬_¬

I would have just referenced Avogadro's number (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avogadro%27s_number) and called it a day.
