"I fully endorse this. If you're a fan of the show or even, dare I say, a brony yourself, then it's a no-brainer to get this. If you're not a fan of the show, but want to know what this whole 'brony' thing is all about, this is probably by far the best way to find out. If you're just a hater who's gonna hate no matter what, however, then you should probably give this a pass."

I watched a lot of MLP as a kid, but I'm still not watching this one because I'm terrified of drowning in a fandom. O_O

But that is an interesting documentary.

That is definitely a valid concern. ^_^; It is rather... consuming, in its own way. And this is coming from a guy who hasn't even bought any of the merch or been to any of the cons or whatever. The most I've done so far is just write a bit of fanfic (but even that, when I stop to actually consider it in a semi-objective way, is kind of like... lolwut o_O).

I've already got friends buying merch, one cosplaying gijinka ponies, one flooding her DA with fanart (that one is probably the most normal thing to do) and a guy just waiting for the day he makes a giant pony plushie to carry around a con...the minute I get into it the tsunami will just bury me. @@

And yes, at one point writing MLP fanfic would be pause for consideration, then continue writing (unless it's a Twilight/MLP crossover. Then you just stop).
