So I sent in a ticket about how on the new post UI page you can't set a mood icon and then put in a custom mood text without losing the icon you selected, which worked perfectly fine on the old UI page. The response was a completely useless "That functionality is gone now, sorry." Like, uh, no shit Sherlock, that's why I opened the fucking ticket in the first place. -_-
I had been able to monkey with it on the new UI page to get it to still show an icon and custom text before (e.g. by setting an icon, entering custom text, posting the entry which stripped out the icon, and then editing the entry and resetting the icon, which somehow still kept the custom text as well) but even that isn't working now. The functionality is indeed just completely gone now, it seems, and that sucks. Well, whatever. It's an inconvenience, but an incredibly minor one. Also this time, unlike in previous cases when I'd sent in a ticket, I didn't even get an email notification that someone had "answered" the ticket at all.
Given that only like two or three people on my f-list even still use LJ at all (and far less frequently than I do), I'm considering (once again) just abandoning LJ altogether and moving on to something else, though what that something else might be, I have no idea. The only real reason I still like LJ is because it's fairly simple to search back through old posts for specific things (at least assuming you have it set up to allow searching), which isn't really possible with Facebook or Twitter, at least that I've been able to figure out anyway.
