"What the hell Nintendo. You are still doing this shit on Youtube? I was having a god damn great time and wanted to tell everyone and share how much fun I was having and my recommendations and THIS is how you respond. A copyright claim? DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND how stupid you are being? How can you guys still be doing this? Seriously. Fuck Off. Why is it other companies get it and you don't? Nintendo Japan can Kiss My Ass.F**king ridiculous.
Now let all the nintendo defenders flood my comments with ass licking and praise for its corporate dickishness. Yea, AngryJoe is the bad guy here. All he cares about are his videos and continuing his show. He should give all his shows funds to nintendo if he wants to cover their games.
If Nintendo claims my videos so they can monetize them for themselves on any WiiU Angry Reviews, I refuse to do any.
This is what affiliated channel have to put up with if they are trying to support nintendo products on youtube."
...
So yeah, it looks like Nintendo is still being a gigantic asshole about copyright bullshit on Youtube, and Angry Joe is clearly very angry about it. I don't blame him.

Date: 2015-01-16 08:30 am (UTC)From:They alienate third party developers with lack of support, they alienate their fans with bullshit like this (They even DMCA fanart I believe.) And then they try to buy into the DLC/Massive Patching mentality of the other console markets when the ONLY thing they had going for them last gen was that you could pretty much be sure the games were 1. fairly bug free (there were some exceptions) and 2. complete on delivery.
So yeah. If I ever start doing rants/reviews (likely written form), I'll probably not do any at all for Nintendo and just have a rant about WHY I don't have anything good to say about them while warning others away from it.
At most I'll probably drop links after that to any report on kotaku/etc that point out particular flaws/rabid-copywrite zealousness/game breaking bugs, etc. They can't DMCA the news (Or even reviews on youtube honestly. They can just steal the money from those that make them on youtube.)

Essentially, the new 3DS XL in Europe and North America will ship without a means to recharge the device. (AC Adapter.) It's a "cost cutting" measure. Why charge the customer for a part they likely already have. (It's compatible with the 3DS)
So... yeah. Basically it's them saying "We're not expecting to sell this device to any new consumers, just our old ones."
If Nintendo ever does end up going bankrupt, it's going to be because they simply don't understand how to listen to their customer or partners. (Funny thing is that based on what I'm reading, I guess it means Japan was considered important enough to have an included AC Adapter.)

Date: 2015-01-17 01:20 am (UTC)From:Why does it seem like all, not just some, all of the once great, or at least decent, game companies these days are doing this enraging, asinine, consumer-hating bullshit like all the stuff we rant about, at least to some extent?
The funniest/saddest thing of all, though, is that out of all of the current generation consoles, the Wii U is still probably the one that I would most likely get first before I got a PS4. (I still have no intention of ever buying a X-bone, no matter what.) This is assuming I ever buy another game console of any kind, of course, which is not a certain thing by any means.
If absolutely nothing else, the release of a new version of the 3DS might finally drive the old model or the 2DS (which is of more interest to me, since it's already cheaper to begin with and I don't give a shit about the 3D stuff) down below the $100 price point, such that I might have some small interest in finally buying one. There are a few games on the 2/3DS that I'm interested in, such as the new Phoenix Wright game and the Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton game.

Um... hello? It's not nintendo's fault that they DELIBERATELY flagged every video they possibly could using a convenient tool for the simple reason to make a few extra dollars to prop up their flailing existence? I think perhaps the guy may be wrong.

But, no, it's entirely Google's fault and Nintendo is as pure as the driven snow here. Right.
