I'm seriously tempted to just stop playing Pillars of Eternity altogether and wait 6-12 months for them to finally get the bugs worked out.

That's probably what I should have done to begin with, since I did the same with Shadowrun Returns and Wasteland 2 as well.

Hell, I haven't gone back to Shadowrun yet, and I haven't even *started* a game of Wasteland 2 yet.

Yet, I jumped right into Pillars of Eternity, even though I *knew* it would be a buggy mess at launch, just like every other modern game.

I'll probably do the same with the new Torment game when it comes out as well... just wait a year or so before actually attempting it.

It'll be extremely difficult to hold off on it, but I think my experience will be more enjoyable in the end.

Would have probably been the same with Pillars as well, given that my current stalled playthrough is already my second attempt.

Most likely I'll be restarting that again at some point down the road as well, instead of continuing with my current attempt.

I should probably just wait for the inevitable DLC or "expansion pack" or whatever to be released (and then another year to be bugtested).

I'll give credit to Obsidian for continuing to actively bugfix their game though. That's more than can be said for a lot of game "releases."

They released another patch for Pillars of Eternity yesterday.
