Braid is one ingeniously evil, evil game (and I've only just completed World 3, as of this point in time, so I'm sure it'll be even more evil later on). I highly recommend this if you have a 360 with access to XBLA games. Oh, and there's apparently a PC version coming as well, if you don't have a 360.

Date: 2008-09-05 08:23 am (UTC)From:Oh, and because of that I decided to not worry about spoilers anymore and just read how to get the rest of the stars... and, it looks like there's one that I can't get at all, ever (in this playthrough, at least) because I've already put together the puzzle for World 3. And... yeah. Looking at the top left and bottom right corners of the completed World 3 puzzle (and part of the wall in the house next to it), I can see it pretty clearly now. That is very likely another star that I would never have found on my own. I haven't looked at how to get the rest of the stars yet, but I'd guess that most of them are similarly nigh impossible to know how to get without a guide, or ludicrous luck.
Well, for that matter, without having looked at gamefaqs to see what might have been said about the ending, I doubt I'd have ever even known that there were stars to get in the first place.
Oh well, I guess this just means I'll be playing through this game again at some point down the line. And I'd still recommend it to anyone and everyone, despite all of that.
