Note to self: NEVER EVER AGAIN ORDER A PIZZA ON A SUNDAY FROM THE LOCAL PIZZA HUT.
I ordered a pizza at 1:16pm (according to the original order form). It still hasn't gotten here yet. It arrived while I was in the middle of typing this post.
On the upside, I did call them at around 20 minutes past the original estimate of 95 minutes (or around 3:10pm), and the manager said I would be getting this order for free.
On the downside, it still hasn't gotten here yet. In 25 minutes, it will have been 2 hours past the original estimate of 95 minutes. I will be calling them again if it's not here by then.
Even though it was late, I still offered to give the driver a 5 dollar tip (in cash, this time, since I wasn't doing the credit card thing this time, since this one was free). My reasoning was that if he's the only driver he's probably being stretched to his limit, so it would be only fair. However, he refused to take it because he "wouldn't feel right about it". His reasoning was that the pizza was an hour and a half late. Well, I mean, it's not his fault that he's the only driver and all, and I felt kind of weird because he didn't take it, but oh well, that's another $5 saved (in addition to the original $25 or so for the pizzas themselves).
