In this episode, Mr. Oliver learns that the president of Nintendo is literally named Bowser and would love to devote a lot more time to that but is sad that he has to talk about Trump math instead.
Honestly, seeing those dumbfucks on Faux Noise disingenuously trying to defend Trump's dumbshit angered me more than seeing Trump directly speaking the dumbshit, and I'm not even sure why. (Though I can take a guess.) All of it was fucking asinine, but the Faux Noise clips still bothered me more than the straight up Trump clips did.
Also, John Oliver referring to JD Vance and his "Chinese peasants" comments and China's reaction to that: "I guess, in a way, it's reassuring to know that, despite our differences, the American and Chinese people can come together to agree that it is fun to dunk on this cursed, cabbage patch bitch."
And yeah, Chuck Grassley, Trump is the dog that caught the car. The dog that all you stupid motherfuckers called with your fucking dog whistles.
I could see Trump putting a massive tariff on mangoes, simply because he's mad that people keep calling him Mango Mussolini (among many, many other things).
I'm kind of surprised, however, that Mr. Oliver didn't make any mention at all of this shit, which is a cartoon parodying the fact that Trump literally told people on """""Truth""""" Social to "buy now" a few hours before putting the 90 day pause on his dumbshit tariffs, which is an obvious case of insider trading if ever there was one.

Um, no. No, I fucking don't, you dipshit. I don't play Mario (or Zelda or Metroid or any other Nintendo game) at all with such an absurd price. I haven't even bought a Switch 1 and games at a $60 price point yet, so do you really think I'm going to buy a Switch 2 and games at a $80 price point? Here is my dickhole. Suck from it.
Granted, obviously, I'm only talking about myself here. I'm sure most cOnSuMeRs still have their lips surgically attached to the sewer pipe, though, just as they have for the past couple of decades now, and will gladly, or at least curmudgeonly, suck this shit down just fine.

And this is coming from someone whose eyes mostly just glazed over as I scrolled past all the dozens of "nInTeNdO sWiTcH 2 dEtAiLs LeAkEd!1!1!1!" headlines that kept showing up in my Google News app thing on my phone, so I didn't know all that stuff Woolie was listing off. I also didn't care, either. Yeah, the Nintendo Switch 2 is not the thing that is going to get me to become a console (re)convert, especially if it's going to cost potentially up to five hundred USD or whatever. Also, looking forward to it being abandoned and all the servers (because if there's one that seemingly almost all modern video games absolutely require, these days, it's fucking servers) for it turned off within ten years or so.
