"Play as Aurora from Child of Light! We are thrilled to announce that the next playable (and free!) character for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is Aurora, from the blockbuster platformer RPG Child of Light! Aurora arrives TODAY on PC, Xbox and PlayStation! Switch launch date to be announced."
Uh...
I mean...
Child of Light was a pretty good game (aside from requiring UPlay bullshit) and all, but this seems like an out-of-left-field asspull for a playable character in Bloodstained, of all things. I don't hate it or anything, but...
It just seems... a rather odd choice, you know?
That said, I'll probably reinstall Bloodstained and give it a try at some point. *shrug* Of course, I'll probably play it for about as long as I played Zangetsu and Bloodless, which wasn't for very long.
(EDIT) In related news, I did just reinstall Bloodstained. Aurora isn't available yet as a playable character, but in addition to that, all of my save games are gone, for whatever reason, and my user settings had been reset to the subpar defaults. So now, if I ever want to play a new game with Miriam again at some point, it will have to be in Normal mode because Hardmode and Nightmare are locked once more. That's just wonderful. Really, just fucking great. (/EDIT)
