There's been an update posted about how the base game will continue to be available to those who purchased it, but the online portions and DLC bought will be unavailable.

Which to me (The DLC part) is still unacceptable.

Although I give so little shits for this game I don't know what the DLC was. If it's all just shit for the multiplayer, then whatever.

Yeah, especially these days, when like half or more of the "full" game is the DLC. Just speaking in general, as that seems to be increasingly the case for a lot of games lately. No idea what the DLC in this AC game is or how much of the game it makes up. If the DLC in this is just multiplayer modes/maps/whatever shit, then yeah, nothing of value was lost, but even so, I'm still going to allow it piss me off just on general principle, from a game preservation point of view. The fact that this shit can just arbitrarily go away, at the whim of some stuffed suit deciding one day that it's not making enough money anymore or whatever, is horseshit.

It really doesn't look like much of worth is being lost. That said, that wiki page only seems to talk about the console versions. The Steam page for the game doesn't show any DLC at all, unless it's just the shit that's bought in the game itself through UPlay/Ubisoft Connection/Ubisoft Club whatever the fuck it's called now (given that the Steam version appears to be the "HD version," if that matches what the wiki is saying about the console stuff), in which case, nothing of value is lost, outside of the general principle of the whole thing. But then, that wiki page also says this: "As the HD version does not possess an online component..." If that's the case, and if that's true of the Steam version as well, then what the fuck even is the issue in the first place? o_O

(In any case, all the enraged negative Steam reviews with people saying "I'm never buying an Ubisoft game again!!`!!1!~`!~1!!onetilde" just makes me roll my eyes. If they were still buying Ubisoft games up until this point, despite all the other shitty stuff that Ubisoft has done over the years, then they were pretty much all but completely lost causes, already. They'll baaaa and go back to buying them again the next time Ubisoft jangles the video game equivalent of a ring of keys in front of their faces, I'm sure.)

Here is the real reason it's being delisted:

"ADDITIONAL CONTENT
Also includes all the original solo DLC, including The Tyranny of King Washington, and the full game: Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered."

Basically, they are removing/have removed the original version(s) of the game(s) because they released a "remastered" version of it for a higher price (or, in this case, included as "bonus content" with the "remaster" of AC3). I.e. the original version of Assassin's Creed III was delisted from Steam years ago, back when the "remaster" was first released. Honestly, it's kind of a wonder that the stand-alone Liberation HD game lasted for as long as it did. The "remastered" games apparently are not affected by this arbitrary server shutdown nonsense. I mean, of course, up until Ubisoft randomly decides to also kill those at some point in the future, you know.

With all of that said, the whole thing is still diarrhetic bullshit, and Ubisoft sucks diseased, encrusted dickholes.
