Here is the meme in question.

I find "who would succeed or fail at this specific thing in these specific ways" type of "whowouldwin" things a lot more interesting than shit like "could Goku beat Superman" or whatever. (Also, I don't know who at least half of the people in that image even are.)

Anyway, Youtube hasn't locked me out entirely, yet.

Peter Falk as Columbo was obvious. Needed to google the other three; the two on the left are from Disco Elysium (which I never played), and the guy on the right is from Twin Peaks (which I never watched).

Of all the iconic fictional detectives they could've gone with to draw attention, they chose these guys? Maybe I'm just too old to be on the Internet anymore.

Yeah, I knew the four in the thumbnail for the video. I was referring more to the bunch in the full meme image, which has a ton more in it than just those four.

The ones in that I can name off hand (roughly from left to right, top to bottom, sorted by the four quadrant boxes):
Box #1 (top left, could solve, could intuit):

Okay, so I did know more than half of them (even if you don't count the ones I wouldn't have known without the names being in the images), but only just barely. And yeah, there definitely needs to be bonus categories of "Which would/would not be murdered by the Death Note?" Sam and Max, for example, would survive because either A) the Death Note does not work on non-humans or B) even if it did, they've been dead before but got better easily enough.

There are some others that I'd have probably added that aren't on there, but I won't get into that as this comment/reply is already long enough as is. ¬_¬

You got pretty much all the ones that I would've recognized from that. Only ones I would add would be Hank Venture from Venture Bros (Top right, second row, #4), L from the terrible live-action Netflix Death Note movie (Top right, bottom row, #3), Hank Shrader from Breaking Bad (Bottom right, bottom row, #4). Bottom left, third row, #1 is also obviously from some flavour of Kamen Rider, but I've not watched those so can't identify it precisely.

The top left bottom row #4 I also recognize from many meme images, but zero clue who he actually is or where he's actually from.

As for who would survive the Death Note, I reckon most of these would be eliminated almost immediately simply because their real names are publicly known. Sam and Max would probably do better than most simply because nobody knows their last names, but that implies that they even have a last name to know...
