Despite all the RROD woes, I still want and plan to get an Xbox 360 at some point. There's so much out now and coming soon for it that looks awesome.

Yet, when it has gotten to the point that people are making frickin' t-shirts about it, that doesn't fill me with a whole lot of confidence at all, y'know? ^^;

Supposedly, all the new 360s being produced use 65nm chips instead of the 90nm ones they've always had. This should reduce heat, which will cut down on the RRoDs. I'll probably get an Elite in a few months once the old chipset models aren't in the stores anymore.

Yeah, I'm hoping the new 65nm chipped 360s will be fairly easy to come by for when Mass Effect comes out in November, because there's no way in hell I'll be able to stop myself from buying a 360 at that point and I'm not even going to try.

Also, there are new heat sinks in the newer batches of them, which should help as well. I just bought one for my gf, and it seems to be keeping cool just fine.
