Link to incredibly dumbshit opinion piece here. (EDIT 2) Link to archive.is copy of incredibly dumbshit opinion piece here, because fuck NYT paywall shit. (/EDIT 2)

Copy/pasted from my post of this on Facebook: "In this opinion piece that was posted on the New York fucking Times of all places, the writer has absolutely no goddamn clue what the term 'dark web' actually means and confuses asinine 4chan/Reddit/alt-right 'for teh lulz' so-called 'talking points' as being 'intellectual.' Just because these supposed 'respectable' people are willing to torpedo their reputations to parrot said 4chan/Reddit/alt-right dumbshit doesn't make the dumbshit any more palatable."

Also, this:Which was a response to this:Which was making fun of the video linked to in the second tweet there, which I will embed a slightly longer version of it here:

(EDIT) Youtube embed removed because the video did what so many other videos on Youtube have done: it got removed from Youtube. Instead, here, have the archive.org version of the same thing. (/EDIT)

My responses, also copy/pasted from Facebook: "Speaking as someone who plays a shit-ton of video games, I think I can safely say that you do not 'get shit done' in a video game. Video games are probably the very antithesis of 'getting shit done.' At least in, you know, an actual, real world sense, that is.

"Seriously, though, where the fuck did this 'Intellectual Dark Web' bullshit even come from? Just sounds to me like they're trying to rebrand yet again, because 'alt-right' isn't working for them any better than 'GamerGate' worked for them."

(Oh, and just to note, all that dumbshit about "getting shit done" was said by Dave Rubin, who admitted in that very video that he had to call that other dude for help because he "got stuck" in Axiom Verge. So, apparently, Dave Rubin actually couldn't "get shit done" in his video game.)
