...Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died[1], and that sucks for a multitude of reasons.
Not the least of which, of course, is that goddamned Donald Trump now gets to ruin the Supreme Court even further, which was pretty much my biggest worry as soon as he was elected (and which, of course, was the main reason the Republicans all attached their decrepit, rotting carts to the bloated, diseased horse that is Trump in the first place). Even if Biden wins in November, the damage Trump has already done to the United States of America won't be able to be corrected for decades afterward, and even if Biden wins, that still wouldn't and won't stop the Trumpublican Senate from ramrodding through a confirmation of whoever Trump picks in the two-three months between the election and when Biden actually takes office, even further damaging the country. (Unless, by some miracle, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and whoever Trump picks next all happen to die[2][3] within an unreasonably small amount of time, shortly after Biden is sworn in, and also, by a similar miracle, most/all of the Trump-cocksuckers in Congress get voted out/retire/die and are replaced by more reasonable Senators who won't obviously stonewall any replacements Biden were to pick, as the current crop of Trump-anuslickers would do.)
Also because, you know, Bitch McConnell[2][3] is a hypocritical, lying sack of dogshit, along with all the rest of the Trumpanzee senators in Congress (including Thom Tillis of North Carolina), and all that.
2020 truly is the worst year.
[1] - And I first found out about this via the comments section of a web comic of all things, which tells you how much I've been paying attention to politics lately. Though I fully expect John Scalzi will make a post about it soon, and I would have seen that, even if I hadn't already seen this other thing first. (EDIT, over a week later) Well, Mr. Scalzi never posted about it, or at least he hasn't yet, but John Oliver released a video about it, so that would have been the first I've heard of it, if not for seeing those webcomic comments. (/EDIT) For what it's worth, I sought out my first Seth Abramson thread in several months on the subject, as well.
[2] - But, really, the very best thing for the United States would be if Moscow Bitch himself were to die very soon, hopefully of something horrific like explosive diarrhea or necrotizing fasciitis or some such.
[3] - And the fact that I'm already literally wishing death on someone whose name I don't even know yet is leaving me feeling more than a little queasy, but it doesn't change the fact that I feel that way. I don't feel the slightest bit bad wishing for the death of a slimy fuckshit like Bitch McConnell, though. This is the power of my hatred for Trump and Moscow Bitch and the Trumpublicans in general.[4]
[4] - And fucking hell, just leaving the house lately is becoming increasingly depressing, because every time I go out for any reason, I see more and more goddamned Trump signs/flags in more and more goddamned yards (and not a single Biden/Harris sign anywhere[5]), which includes the yard of the place I went to today to attend the combined birthday parties of two small children. It made my stomach churn to see that fucking sign there when we arrived, I mostly forgot about it during the party itself, and then it made my stomach churn anew when we drove past it again on the way out. Everything is terrible.
[5] - Though that's understandable, due to the very, very real, high probability for Trumpanzees in areas overrun with Trumpanzees (you know, like The South™) to enact retribution (in whatever way you might be imagining, that's probably exactly how it would happen) against non-Trumpanzee people who would dare to show support for the non-vile, non-evil, non-insane choice in this election (i.e. Biden).
