Sudden dental issues

I have a dental appointment in the morning at 8:45am in Bellevue, thanks to a portion of one of my back teeth that inexplicably became detached from the rest of the tooth and lost forever at some point during the day on Wednesday, without my even being aware of it until later in the day. Oh well, at least it (somewhat surprisingly) doesn't hurt at all, even though it feels like a rather non-trivial part of it is simply gone now. Needless to say, but this really sucks.

UPDATE:

It was apparently a cavity, they put in a temporary filling, and I have an appointment with them for a full on exam on Thursday, October 18 at 7:00am, since he said he saw some other things on some of my other teeth. Gah.

On the bright side, it wasn't too bad at all, aside from the process of getting the x-ray. That kind of sucked due to the big ass paper thing they had to stick in my mouth, which played absolute havoc with my gag reflex. Everything after that was a relative cakewalk.
