I fucking hate this time of year so much.

Been ice/raining for the past day or so, and it looks like it will continue doing so for the rest of today at least, as well. The power just started flickering intermittently, so it'll probably go out for good soon. I'm honestly surprised it hasn't gone out already. (This wouldn't really be an issue if they'd just rerun the fucking power lines underground, instead of having them up on poles where tree limbs can and will knock them the fuck down every time there's bad weather. *weary sigh*)

(EDIT Sunday, Feb 14, 2021 2:30pm) Power just came back on about 30 minutes ago or so. It went out this morning around 10:50am or some shit and was out around three hours. It sucked ass, but it could have been a hell of a lot worse. (/EDIT)

I lived practically next door to a Jack In The Box for nine years in Redmond, WA, and I never once ordered a Jumbo Jack. No, I almost invariably got the Ultimate Cheeseburger, or occasionally the Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger, if I was feeling particularly cruel toward my arteries that day. Pretty much the only thing I've seen around here in NC that compares is the Baconator from Wendy's. Or maybe the Bacon King from Burger King, though I've never had one of those before. Usually, at BK, I get either a Whopper Jr. or an Original Chicken Sandwich. I used to get the regular Whopper, but it started making me feel kinda sick (see McDonald's below) so I stopped. That said, I did try the Imposssible Whopper once, just to do it, and it was actually pretty damn good, I thought. As far as gargantuan, grotesque bacon cheeseburgers go, though, I won't even consider whatever the McDonald's equivalent might be, because McDonald's food literally makes me physically ill these days, outside of maybe the basic cheeseburger (as long as they leave off the pickle and those nasty onion shavings or whatever). The first and only time I ever got the 20 piece Chicken McNugget meal for lunch in WA one day, that day was when I vowed to never again eat another Chicken McNugget, if I could at all help it.

God damn it, now I fucking want a bacon cheeseburger... >_>; (Un)fortunately, it's still far too icy to go out, so I guess I'll just have to give that up for now.
