Apparently, 800-379-8414 is a somewhat infamous phone number, according to Google. I've gotten three calls today where, as usual, the asshole would just hang up instead of leaving a message, and the last time, I tried *69 again. This time, instead of just getting a "number unavailable" message, I actually got a number for once. That number. 800-379-8414.
Seriously, do a Google search on it. Theories behind the number range from it being a porn line, to it being the Fraternal Order of Police, to it being some mysterious government harassment thing against those who talk shit about Bush, among other things. I don't know who is behind it, nor do I care. All I care is that the bastards stop calling.
