Today is the first time I'd ever heard of the Kentucky meat shower, via the alt-text on the most recent xkcd.

Also from the article: "The meat appeared to be beef, but according to the first report in Scientific American, two men who tasted it judged it to be lamb or deer."
Yeah... no, don't count on me to ever be the guy who identifies mysterious sky meat by tasting it. o_O
