This was the top most article in my Google News app when I checked it just now, up in the Top News section (which completely ignores my settings for what I want and don't want to see in my Google News feed [even more so than the rest of the feed does, anyway]).
First of all, consider the source.
Second of all... this reads to me like a left wing news site trying, desperately, to paint Charlie Kirk's murderer as a RWNJ kook, just as much as Trump and the Trumpanzees are trying, desperately, to paint him as a "radical left" kook (which they were doing before we ever knew a single damn thing about the guy at all). The truth is probably more like what Jonathan said yesterday in that episode of the Even More News podcast, which is that these shooters tend to be "very disturbed and have a bizarre mishmash of ideologies," both from the right and from the left, that comes with being extremely/terminally online, and that seems to be possibly proving true in this case, as well.
