So I got up this morning and the radio said the forecast for this week would by dry and sunny again. He said it with a cheerful voice like it was a good thing or something, but I knew then that today was going to suck ass. For the most part, it did, although there were a few high points. Well, one maybe.
CS330 was just as blah as it ever is. Not too much more can be said there.
There was the possibility for a quiz in MAT300 either today or Wednesday. Turns out, it was today. I don't think very many people studied for it as much as they probably should have, if at all, (*cough*likeme*cough*) and so were not looking forward to it. But then, as he was passing them out, it sounded like he said something like "You can use your notes." Those of us on the other side of the room who didn't hear him clearly were like, "Wait... what? Is he serious? Did he really say that?" I thought he was joking but then he said it again, and it was like the clouds parted and rays of sunshine poured down from... oh, wait, today was already dry and sunny, never mind. Anyway, the quiz turned out not to be that bad at all, even had it been without the notes, so that was one of the few highlights of the day.
Well, after that I had about two and a half hours until my next class. It was around then that I began to notice that it was becoming inordinately hot and stuffy in the school (even more so than usual). Apparently, the air conditioning was broken, or either it simply wasn't turned on for some asstarded reason, I don't know. I didn't get much done during those two and a half hours, though I made half-assed motions vaguely resembling attempts to work on homework and such.
Anyway, went to CS315 at 5:00pm, which was in probably the hottest and stuffiest lab in the school. We were there until around 6:05pm (class normally lets out at 6:20) and the teacher finally just said that's it, it's too hot, everyone can go now. I quickly checked the bus schedule and noticed that the next bus was supposed to get there at around 6:15. Sweet.
I got out to the bus stop around 6:10, and sat there. And sat there. And sat there. And sat there some more. The bus didn't show up until 6:40. I HAVE FURY!
Well, I got off the bus and went to Jack-in-the-Box, and the cashier was apparently new, so I ended up having to repeat my order about four times before she finally got it right, while her manager/trainer/supervisor/whatever the hell was looking over her shoulder the whole time. Oh well, at least they actually did get it right this time, and I didn't get home to realize I had a bacon cheeseburger or curly fries or something else that I didn't actually order.
So, finally got home and noticed my freaking computer was locked up to the point where I had to hard reboot. WTF...?
And then, when I checked my DigiPen email, there was an email from Wu saying that CS315 (the section after ours) was canceled due to the heat. That sucks for us, considering that we had to sit through most of the earlier section, and it sucks for people in the second section, like one of the guys on my game dev team this year who lives about 20 minutes away from the school and who was probably already on the way there.
And, lastly, while I was in the middle of typing this journal entry, I somehow accidentally hit the "Power" key on the keyboard, which shut down the computer again. Whoever had the bright idea of putting a power key on the keyboard itself needs to have their head examined. Yeah, yeah, I know I could simply disable it, suck it. Oh well, once again, good thing for LJ's autosave draft feature.
I'm tempted to simply concede defeat to this day and just go on to bed.
