Full headline, because PC Gamer headlines are almost always too long for Dreamwidth: "The Witcher producer blames Americans and impatient young people for the Netflix show's simplified plot"
Yeah, that has some real "Japanese game devs in the 80s and 90s thought Americans were simple babies so that's why we got games like Doki Doki Panic as Super Mario Bros. 2 and Final Fantasy Mystic Quest instead of the 'real' stuff for so long" energy to it.
The difference being that, unlike this The Witcher Netflix show[1], Doki Doki Panic/SMB2 and FFMQ were still actually pretty good on their own merits.
[1] - Apparently, as I haven't seen a single episode of The Witcher for myself. And now, after this, I have little interest in ever seeing a single episode of The Witcher for myself.
