My day so far:
1. Be awakened by my clock radio at 7:25, which is unusual for me since I almost always am awake on my own prior to the radio coming on. But not so unusual considering I slept incredibly poorly last night due to feeling sick for most of the night.
2. Lay there for about 10 minutes, trying to decide whether or not I should call in sick to work or not, since I felt like absolute crap.
3. Decide to give it a try anyway, and so get up and get dressed.
4. Get hit by a tsunami of nausea and, after recovering my wits from that a few minutes later, call work and tell them I'm not coming in today, also sending an email to my team lead telling him the same thing.
5. Go back to bed.
6. Wake up a few minutes ago at 11:30-ish, feeling slightly less crappy and no longer as dead tired, but still too weak to feel like doing anything more active than sit in front of a computer. Not that I really do much more than that anyway.
And the irony is that this is all I would have been doing at work as well: sitting in front of a computer. The only problem was getting there, which would have required walking three or four blocks to the park and ride and then another block or so from the bus to work. That just wasn't happening this morning. Oh well, if I feel tomorrow at least as well as I feel now, it'll be a PITA but I think I'd be able to manage going in. Hopefully, though, I'll feel better by then than I do now, of course.
