Similarly, the word "overrated" also does not mean "something I don't like" either. Just because something is popular and/or has received high praise from just about everyone else, yet you don't like it, this does not mean it is overrated. It just means that you don't like it. That is all. Nothing more, nothing less. Stop throwing around words like "overrated" and "pretentious" and the like, as though the mere act of using these words will somehow objectively prove that these words actually do apply to the thing you don't like, despite the fact that 99 times out of 100 they actually do not apply at all.
So as to prevent the need of a similar post of this nature in the future, I'll go ahead and throw out the word "masturbatory" here as well, just to get it out of the way.
