Street Fighter IV is up to Ultra now. *eye roll*

I stopped after Super (i.e. the first rerelease), and I thought even that was a bit much, and until now I had mostly stopped keeping up with it once "Arcade Edition" was announced. But then, of course, this is Capcom we're talking about here, so this kind of bullshit is to be expected, I guess. Pretty much every version of Street Fighter at least since SF2 (and maybe even as far back as the original Street Fighter/Fighting Street) has had at least three or more sub-variants, so why would SF4 be any different? *shrug*

I held off on buying it until Arcade Edition came out to avoid this. Honestly, though, it was always a possibility. I knew what I was getting into.

In this day and age of rampant DLC, I just don't understand why all of this extra stuff couldn't have been released as DLC, rather than as entirely new, stand-alone products. (Well, to be fair, I think Arcade Edition was indeed released as DLC for Super, if you already had that, but also as a stand-alone thing.) See also: Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 being released as a separate game, instead of as DLC for the original MvC3.
