So glad I never had more than completely null interest in this thing. -_- Although this happened almost a month ago, this excerpt from the Completely Unnecessary Podcast is the first I've heard of it.

(Also, I wish more podcasts would release their content in bite-sized chunks based on specific topics like this, rather than only ever as one, entire, singular, gigantic, hours-long thing per week, given that if it were so, I'd probably pay more attention to podcasts that way. *Hint, hint*)

I had no interest in Infinity itself, but I suppose I should pick up a couple of the figurines sooner than later before they become difficult to find? ^^ Not interested in most of the figurines, but hey there are some favorite disney characters I wouldn't mind having a small cheapish figurine of. (Main reason why I was buying the Amiibos even without having a Wii U or 3DS yet.)

Yeah, if I had any interest in them at all, it would be for just the figurines themselves, regardless of whatever soon-to-be-defunct in game crap they may bestow. But as for me, I've just personally never really been a collector of anything before, aside from maybe games themselves, and I don't do even that anymore either. (Unless you count a Steam/GOG library as a "collection," which I really don't.)
