If you have an older computer lying around, I'd recommend starting to tinker with Linux distros now. I do that a bit with the spare computer I have, although where it doesn't boot from usb it means I have to go through the trouble of burning dvds to install from - something I don't do often.

When I get a newer comp next month (hopefully) I plan on using this comp as the linux test bed. Or I'll just use that computer instead if they end up having windows 10 pre-installed on their refurbished comps by then. (Currently still got win7 on them last I checked.)
