So yeah, someone apparently tried to assassinate Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, among other people. That is a thing that happened during the past 24 hours. This is the world we live in now.
Trump makes noises in response about how "acts or threats of political violence have no place in the United States of America" and he's right. Acts of political violence don't have a place in America. However, we don't live in America anymore. Thanks to Trump, we live in MehriKKKa now.
Oh, and also, Trump advocating for civility now, in the context of his own numerous and repeated calls for violence against his political opponents, up to and including potential assassination via firearms, is ludicrous and blatantly hypocritical.
